Mickey & Friends

Hi guys! The weather was just perfect today, so I decided to wear my "Mickey & Friends" shirt that would've been too hot to wear on a normal day. Even though the sun was shining really bright, the weather wasn't humid at all! Such a nice change from the usual Manila weather.

OKAY, I know I spent like one paragraph talking about the weather but seriously, it was just perfect! Okay, moving on from the weather!! If you're wondering if the bag you're seeing on the left side is my school bag then you're absolutely right! That's the only bag I bring to school, mainly because I'm too lazy to actually fix my stuff yikes! Or for a nicer reason, this bag is really durable and can fit all my random stuff inside!

I can't believe I've forgotten about how wonderful these flouncy shorts are! It gives off a bouncy feel of a skirt without fear of random gusts of wind blowing it up to reveal something I wouldn't want to be seen haha! And I guess, it felt right to pair something flouncy with something Disney, but I made sure to wear a dark colour to tone down the playfulness of the top.

Can't believe I haven't seen the potential of this wonderful door! Seriously, it's probably gonna be seen in future posts since I'm kinda obsessed with it already.

Like, really obsessed with it.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to the long weekend due to the papal visit! I'd love to see Pope Francis cause he's a REALLY cool pope, but it's quite impossible to do that due to the large number of people who are lining up to see him.

I have a lot in store for me this week, but I hope to catch up on some sleep since I've been getting sick for the past few days. I hope to get back in tip-top shape really soon, since midterms and other requirements are coming up! And of course, The 1975's concert is already next week eeeep!! So far I'm having a pretty steady week, and I hope you guys are having a great one! Stay tuned for the next post!

New Beginnings

Hi guys! So today was my first day back in school, and it was actually not that bad! I had a great time catching up with my friends, and I guess the only downside was the amount of schoolwork that was piled on us. Well, the countdown begins for summer! I swear, it's the main thing that keeps me going.

So for the first school day of the new year, I decided to go for a "basic", but still stylish, outfit. I wore a black and white striped top, denim high waisted shorts, and black sneakers.

I normally wouldn't include awkward photos like this, but if you look closely at my right hand (from your perspective), it has a double exposure effect thingy! This rarely happens when I shoot with my phone, so I guess this rare photo needed to be shared.

So basically, there are 2 new-ish things about my photos for this post. One of them would be the way the photos are shot! These photos were taken by my good friend, and she put her own style into taking the photos. Although there were standard white wall pictures, she displayed her creativity by moving me around in different backgrounds and locations. And I LOVED the overall result!

Another new thing I guess, is that this is an outdoor shoot, AND I RARELY do an outdoor shoot. Outdoor shoot meaning a pictures that are taken outside of the confines of my own building haha!

I just love how we used the background as an accessory for my outfit! It really brought out the good points of the individual pieces and brought them together to create a disordered sense of harmony.

ANYWAY, I can't publish this post without raving about the top and shorts that I got recently. I've been looking for a perfect pair of high waisted shorts, and I'm happy to say that I've found one that fits me perfectly! And I also love how simple yet effective the top is, because the fit is just DIVINE. Another great find of mine was in my own shoe closet! I can't believe these black sneakers have been hiding in there for so long!

I obviously love this pole thingy or whatever it's called haha!

Although there are already a lot of requirements being asked of for my subjects, I'm happy to say that I have a lot to look forward to for this month! I hope everyone's starting the week right, because I'm happy to say that I started mine right.

Hello 2015

Hey guys! So 2014 was DEFINITELY one eventful year! So much has happened in my life, and I'm proud to say that I've accomplished a lot this year. It may be as small as conquering my fear of roller coasters to graduating from High School. A lot of changes have happened too, and although some of them seemed to not be in my favour, I now understand that these changes happened for a reason. And of course, this year was the year that I FINALLY revived and became more active in blogging.

Although I am still constantly carving my own personal style, I'm happy to say that I think I'm slowly getting there. I've been trying a bajillion things, but more or less I know what works for me and what doesn't.

So THIS was the last outfit I wore for 2014. I love how it's such a "clean" look due to the all white palette of the outfit. I also love how the stripes on my sleeve matches with my belt and the edges of my bag. I thought this was a perfect outfit to bring in the new year, since white represents something clean or pure. And 2015 is the year wherein I want to start with a clean slate and reinvent myself to achieve Cheska 2.0.

One of my goals for 2015 is to ignite the artistic fire inside me. I want to channel my doodling and sketching into something I love, which is fashion! So I got this book called "624 Fashion Things To Draw" and I just LOVE how creative the concepts and ideas are inside! I have yet to fill it up, but can't wait to get started!

Another goal of mine is to start exercising more! Although I do want to shed a few pounds, I am mainly doing it for health reasons. So I stocked up on a few essentials, and although the number 1 priority is for the equipment to be functional, it doesn't hurt for it to be aesthetically pleasing! I believe it motivates me to exercise, cause who wants to waste pretty things??

AANND I'm happy to say that I've achieved that goal on the second day of 2014! Here's a picture of me and my mom in jogging attire with matching shoes! My family completely supports this healthy resolution of mine, and I'm happy to say it has become a part of their list too.

So 2014 was a pretty hard year to top, but I have a good feeling that 2015 is ready to take on the challenge. I hope everyone started their year right, and here's to an AWESOME year ahead of us!
